Not satisfied with current VJ applications, and the noisy layered effects of club visuals, while wanting something for my personal performances and to be able to fit my design style, I built RBVJ.
The project, along with a number of visuals were open-sourced, quite unusual for the time (around 2001) and found it's way into a number of other productions. It also served as a platform for me to develop with various sound and motion reactive experiments and performances were held at various events around Cape Town, Berlin and Tokyo.
Originally written in Flash, it was later ported to Processing.
